We always buy their Kabonosy which is very tasty and when it gets totally dried, it's addictive !!! Their Hot Mustard is great too, as is their Sauerkraut. But my absolute favorite item from Yonkers Miasarnia is their Herring in Cream Sauce. It's the BEST that I have ever had. Better than any commercially made product. WOW !!! ”

“ The pierogies I bought 2 hours ago are of high quality. The dough is slightly thicker and it's a bit different compared to amazing pierogies i've eaten in Chicago. There's a certain tang in the filling which I loved. (Potato and Cheese) Each packet is $5.50 for a dozen. Buy 2 of them. They recommended warming it with butter and onions, which is shown in the picture. Overall, come here if you want to skip the frozen aisle. Worth a trip. ”

“ This is a fine, but modest, neighborhood establishment. It is not a true destination meat lover's paradise like Muncan Foods or Morscher's, where the meat is piled to the rafters. The smoked bacon is excellent, among the leanest and meatiest I have ever had. Their long kielbasa, still warm from the smoker, is also superb. If you're looking for some kabanosy, you've come to the right place. After coming down from White Plains, I was disappointed to learn they had no ham hocks on my last visit, as I consider those a staple of this sort of place. I am not a big fan of the smoked chicken, but others swear by it. On my last visit, I picked up some dark Lithuanian bread which was in good condition. There are also lots of mustards and other Polish packaged goods to choose from. Sometimes Iit's great to have a place like this nearby, saving a trip to Queens. ”
